Powered by a Mercruiser 5.8 233 hp v-8 Ford with a 1.33 to 1 ratio outdrive with a stainless steel prop. This big wide v ford even with the two barrel carburetor has so much torque that the drive was geared from the factory lower than the drive of any other v-8. Most Mercruiser v-8 drives are 1.5 to 1 ratio. All other v-8 alpha style drives have 1.5 to 1 ratio. This is the only drive Mercruiser has used on gas v-8 recreational power boats with a ratio this low. The engine will need to be rebuilt. There is alot of teak and stainless on this model.
